Praxis currently lists Admissions Open for the PGDM 2026–28 batch, with a two-year full-time format and 180 seats. The current fee schedule fixes the PGDM programme fee at INR 11.00 Lakh, while the Class of 2026 placement cycle reports INR 20.65 LPA highest CTC and INR 9.08 LPA average CTC.

Quick Decision Snapshot

  • Fees: INR 11.00 Lakh PGDM fee places Praxis above several mid-fee Kolkata private B-schools.
  • Admission: Profile-based selection combines entrance scores, academics, WAT and PI rather than relying mainly on CAT percentile.
  • Placement: INR 9.08 LPA average CTC is more useful for planning than the INR 20.65 LPA highest offer.
  • Best For: Management applicants interested in data, technology, analytics, finance and digital-business exposure.
  • Overall Value: More relevant for profiles prioritising a specialised business-school environment and digital-heavy PGDM curriculum over the lowest possible Kolkata PGDM fee.

Overview

Praxis Business School Kolkata is a private management institute founded in 2007. Its main academic identity is built around the two-year PGDM, with data, technology and digital-business subjects integrated into management education rather than treated only as optional add-ons.
For the 2026–28 PGDM, admission requires at least 50% in graduation and a valid CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, MAT or ATMA score, followed by a Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. The current programme fee is INR 11.00 Lakh, while the Class of 2026 average CTC is INR 9.08 LPA.
The institute fits graduates who want a focused management campus with significant exposure to analytics, digital business, fintech and experiential learning. Its Rasapunja location is outside central Kolkata, making residential accommodation or daily travel an important practical consideration.

Courses and Fees

Praxis currently centres its regular management portfolio on the full-time PGDM and also offers an AICTE-approved Fellowship Program in Management for working professionals, academicians and researchers. PGDM specialisations share the same published programme fee.

Admission Process

Praxis PGDM admission is profile-based. A valid management entrance score is required, but the entrance examination contributes only 10% to the published selection framework, academics carry 30%, communication 20% and subject knowledge another 20%.
Shortlisted PGDM applicants complete a Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. For the September 2026 FPM intake, the published application deadline was 10 August 2026, followed by the research aptitude test on 17 August and interview on 23 August 2026.

How to Apply

  1. Register through the Praxis online admission application.
  2. Complete the application with academic and programme-specific details.
  3. Submit a valid CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT/ATMA score for PGDM.
  4. Attend the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview after PGDM shortlisting.
  5. FPM applicants complete the research aptitude test unless eligible for an approved waiver.
  6. Complete the relevant interview stage.
  7. Selected PGDM applicants receive an offer letter and confirm the seat through the prescribed fee payment.

Documents Required

  • Class 10 and Class 12 academic records
  • Graduation marksheets and degree/final-year records
  • Valid management entrance-exam scorecard for PGDM
  • Master’s or eligible four-year Bachelor’s qualification proof for FPM
  • Scholarship academic/income proof when applying for the relevant scheme
Scholarship applicants must submit documentary evidence supporting the scores or records on which the scholarship claim is based.

Cut-Offs & Admission Trends

Praxis does not use the entrance percentile as the dominant selection component. For PGDM, a valid accepted examination score enters a broader profile assessment covering academics, work experience, extracurricular record, communication, self-awareness and subject knowledge.
This makes selection different from a B-school where a very high CAT/XAT cutoff carries most of the admission pressure. At Praxis, academic consistency and interview-stage performance have substantially larger published weights than the entrance test alone.

Course and Entrance Exam
Latest Cut-Off
PGDM — CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT/ATMA
Valid score + profile-based WAT/PI, entrance score carries 10% weight
FPM — Praxis Research Aptitude Test
NET/SLET waiver, GMAT >600 waiver, GATE/CAT/XAT >75% waiver
The FPM waiver thresholds above are entrance-test exemptions, not PGDM admission cutoffs.

Scholarships

The current PGDM scholarship structure has two named merit schemes plus a tuition-fee-waiver route. Scholarship approval is separate from admission and requires supporting documents and final Academic Council approval.

Placements

The latest placement cycle is for the PGDM Class of 2026, with final placements across multiple industries and sectors. Current figures show INR 20.65 LPA highest CTC and INR 9.08 LPA average CTC, the PGDM also includes a two-month Summer Internship Program after the first year.
The average package provides a more realistic salary benchmark than the highest offer. Current secondary placement data also reports a median CTC of INR 8.50 LPA and participation from more than 45 recruiters.

Career Outcomes

Praxis PGDM combines conventional management functions with Data Science, Data Visualization, Digital Business Management and Fintech during the core programme. This creates career directions that extend beyond traditional sales, finance and HR roles into analytics and digitally enabled business functions.
Actual role access depends on specialisation, prior profile, internship performance and recruiter requirements. FPM follows a separate research-oriented path for professionals, academics and researchers rather than the PGDM campus-placement model.

Praxis Business School Kolkata vs Similar Colleges

Praxis, Globsyn Business School and Calcutta Business School compete for overlapping Kolkata PGDM applicants: each offers a two-year, AICTE-approved management programme and admits through national management examinations plus institute-level assessment. Their main differences are fee level, selection format, curriculum positioning and recent placement outcomes.

Praxis carries a higher programme fee but reported a higher 2025 average and highest CTC in the common-year comparison. Globsyn reduces the academic-fee outlay by about INR 2.05 Lakh and uses its own GAT, GD and PI as part of selection.
Choose Praxis when its data-and-digital curriculum and recent placement positioning justify the higher fee for your profile. Choose Globsyn when a lower programme fee and its corporate-school learning model carry more weight.

*CBS publishes INR 7.95 Lakh in its fee table plus a mandatory one-time INR 10,000 charge for uniform and certifications, giving INR 8.05 Lakh before optional accommodation and refundable security deposit.
Praxis costs about INR 2.95 Lakh more on the stated academic-fee basis but places greater visible emphasis on data science, digital business, fintech and related management capabilities. CBS offers a materially lower fee and uses CBSAT alongside the national examination score and its individual assessment process.
Choose Praxis if the extra fee is acceptable for its particular curriculum and placement positioning. Choose CBS if reducing PGDM cost while retaining an AICTE-approved two-year management programme is the stronger priority.

Is Praxis Business School Kolkata the Right Fit in 2026?

Praxis sits in the private Kolkata PGDM market with an INR 11.00 Lakh programme fee, a profile-based admission model and a Class of 2026 average CTC of INR 9.08 LPA. Its clearest academic differentiator is the integration of analytics, data science, fintech and digital-business subjects with conventional management functions.
It is more aligned with applicants who want a focused business-school environment than those prioritising the lowest fee or a centrally located Kolkata campus. The highest CTC of INR 20.65 LPA should be treated as the top outcome rather than the expected salary for a typical graduate.

Who Should Consider Praxis Business School?
Praxis fits profiles that can use its management-plus-digital orientation rather than choosing it only on the basis of the highest package.
  • Graduates targeting Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, HR or digitally enabled operations roles.
  • Applicants with a valid management entrance score but a stronger overall academic, communication and interview profile than raw percentile alone.
  • Families comfortable with an INR 11.00 Lakh academic programme fee before residential costs.
  • Applicants who value analytics, Data Science, Digital Business Management and Fintech within the PGDM core.
  • Students comfortable with the Rasapunja campus model and a two-year full-time PGDM.

Who May Prefer Other Colleges?
Other Kolkata options may fit better when cost, location or a different institutional model takes priority.
  • Applicants whose total PGDM academic-fee budget is materially below INR 11.00 Lakh.
  • Profiles seeking a central Kolkata commuter campus rather than Rasapunja.
  • Candidates who primarily want a university MBA degree rather than an AICTE-approved PGDM.
  • Applicants whose priority is admission through a different selection structure with less emphasis on WAT/PI and profile assessment.
  • Candidates expecting the INR 20.65 LPA highest CTC to represent the normal placement outcome.
Praxis is worth considering when the INR 11.00 Lakh fee, profile-based selection, digital-heavy PGDM curriculum and roughly INR 9 LPA current average placement level match the applicant’s career and budget expectations.

Alumni

The alumni profile shown by the institute points toward practical corporate outcomes rather than celebrity-style visibility. Sample alumni roles include positions at ICICI Bank, PwC India, Kantar, and Mahindra Finance. That pattern supports the school’s placement identity in banking, consulting, and research-linked functions. Alumni engagement appears to be used for mentorship, corporate interaction, and grooming support, which generally results in better role awareness for current students. The network looks more function-driven than brand-driven, and that is useful for career clarity.

Q: What is the average package at Praxis Business School in 2026? +

A: The current Class of 2026 placement figures show an average CTC of INR 9.08 LPA and highest CTC of INR 20.65 LPA. The median CTC reported by Careers360 is INR 8.50 LPA.

Q: Is the INR 20.65 LPA highest package common at Praxis? +

A: No placement table supports treating the highest package as the normal batch outcome. The INR 9.08 LPA average and INR 8.50 LPA reported median give more realistic reference points for the Class of 2026.

Q: Does Praxis Business School offer scholarships? +

A: Yes. Current PGDM options include the INR 3.00 Lakh Foundation Scholarship, INR 1.00 Lakh Women in Leadership Scholarship and a tuition-fee-waiver route worth INR 7.80 Lakh for eligible profiles.

A: The INR 11.00 Lakh PGDM fee compares with a current Class of 2026 average CTC of INR 9.08 LPA. Its value is stronger for profiles that will use the institute’s digital-business, analytics, finance and technology-oriented curriculum rather than selecting purely on lowest fee.

Q: Which is better, Praxis Business School or Globsyn Business School? +

A: Praxis has the higher fee but reported the stronger common-year 2025 average CTC in the available comparison: INR 8.90 LPA versus Globsyn’s INR 6.85 LPA. Globsyn’s INR 8.95 Lakh PGDM fee is lower than Praxis’s INR 11.00 Lakh fee, so the better fit depends on budget and programme preference.

Q: Who may not prefer Praxis Business School Kolkata? +

A: Applicants seeking a substantially lower-fee PGDM, a central-city commuter campus or a university-awarded MBA may find other Kolkata institutions better aligned. Praxis is more specifically positioned around a full-time PGDM with data, technology and digital-business integration.
